Board of Supervisors Commend 211 LA County for 30 Years of Service

Friday, February 11, 2011, is “National 2-1-1 Day”. The California State Assembly today presented a resolution, authored by Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez, which recognizes February 11, 2011 as statewide 2-1-1 Day. 211 LA County will hold a press conference focusing on Asian media outlets that will help raise awareness of how 211 can connect families to resources in their community. The press conference is sponsored by Mr, Chin Ho Liao, Community Advocate and President of the San Gabriel Valley Rotary Club. Mr. Liao is also generously providing translation for the event. SoCalGas, a long time partner of 211 has provided funding for the printing of a Chinese language version of 211 informational materials.

211 has received commendations for providing 30 years of service to Los Angeles County families by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, Congresswomen Judy Chu, Assemblymember Mike Eng and the San Gabriel Valley Chamber of Commerce. We are honored to receive commendations for 30 years of service to the community.
