Debbie Ortiz
Contract Manager

As 211 LA's Contract Manager, Debbie is responsible for overseeing and streamlining the contracting process and communication for all of the contracts that 211 LA has been awarded to perform work, as well as the contractors 211 LA engages for professional services. Debbie works with all project managers to ensure they understand contract content and requirements, and serves as a liaison between partners and 211 LA, providing a central, responsive point of communication.

Debbie also provides oversight and direction for the Safely Surrender Baby hotline; including training,  development, and implementation of protocols, and providing supportive services to Information and Referral staff. Debbie previously served as a Mobility Manager with 211 LA for over 2 years, in which she developed and implemented a highly successful pilot transportation program in the Antelope Valley that assisted people receiving public benefits with securing stabilized employment. Debbie initially started with 211 LA as a Community Resource Advisor, connecting callers from across LA County with the services that best fit their unique situations.

Debbie is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton.
