Join the VA of Greater Los Angeles for their fourth annual veteran stand-down providing supplies and services to homeless Veterans, such as food, shelter, clothing, health screenings and VA Social Security benefits counseling.

• Veterans Benefits/Claims Assistance

One-day event that will offer a wide array of special programs and services specifically designed to help veterans who are having difficulties, (homeless, unemployment, health issues, etc.) All Veterans, and their families, are welcome at this event.

  • Breakfast and Lunch
  • Hands-on assistance
  • Aggressive outreach to those Veterans living on streets and in shelters
  • Clinical assessment and referral to needed medical treatment for physical and psychiatric disorders, including substance abuse.
  • Long-term sheltered transitional assistance, case management, and rehabilitation. VA will be in house to help with benefits info.
  • Employment assistance and linkage with available income supports and supported permanent housing.
  • Legal aid, notary services, food, medical care, mental health, counseling, clothing, & Hair Cuts, other services will be provided, as available. Dental help may be available.
  • Bus Transportation help by AVTA.
  • Spiritual counseling also available.

A event to honor fallen service members, first responders, and their families. 

The Bob Hope Patriotic Hall is proud to serve as a point of transition on this West Coast relay. 

The flag will arrive at Patriotic Hall at 1:00PM and at the end of the event will continue until 2:30pm. Participants may join the relay at any point in the route, walking 1 or 2 blocks before the Hall, or if you choose, you may meet at an earlier exchange point, Los Angeles Fire Department Training Center, 1700 Stadium Way, Los Angeles, CA 90012, at 11:30am.
