The agency provides a variety of family support services for at-risk families, including those who are court-ordered, throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Services include case management, developmental assessment for CHDP youth, family preservation, family reunification, a parenting education training program for fathers called Con Los Padres, and children's respite care for parents and caretakers of children age birth through eight. Additionally, cultural heritage, life skills education, and mentoring is provided through a program called El Joven Noble. Age and geographic restrictions apply for some services.

Medi-Cal eligible youth, 1 to 20 years of age, may receive developmental assessment services and behavior modification therapy through the CHDP program.

Family preservation activities include parenting education, psychotherapy, individual and group therapy and Baby-n-Me classes. The program also provides in-home case management.

Family reunification support services include parenting education, individual and group therapy, mental health counseling and Baby-n-Me classes. On-site parental visitation facilitation is provided; progress reports are provided to the courts.

Secondary services available to all clients include monitoring, information and referral, respite services, bus fare and vouchers. Clients may utilize the agencies on-site facility which provides showers, kitchens and a drop-in center.

Children's respite care is available for kinship caregivers, adoptive parents, foster parents and guardians. Medically fragile children are accepted; however, the center cannot accommodate children with extensive medical equipment. A separate nursery is available for children age two and younger. Children can remain in the program from one to 30 days each calendar year. Staff provide case management, individual and family counseling, family support services, and assistance with long term planning. An on-site nurse and social worker are available. Transportation to and from local schools is provided when feasible; an on-site school is also available.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information; an appointment is preferred for service. Call the hotline number for emergency respite care information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most services; parental visitation monitoring is available on a sliding scale.
