This is a reform synagogue with a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBTQ ) membership congregation which provides religious, educational, cultural, and social activities with an emphasis on LGBTQIAA Jewish themes. There are no geographic restrictions.

The synagogue provides outreach to LGBTQ individuals from a variety of backgrounds to provide a comfortable place for them to express their "Jewishness", to learn more about Judaism, and to promote greater communication and understanding between the Jewish community and the LGBTQ communities. The gender neutral liturgy combines Hebrew and English prayer. Members participate in all aspects of Temple activities. Progressive Jews and non-Jewish friends and family are also welcome.

Yearly activities include weekly Shabbat services; Jewish holiday celebrations and festivals; baby namings, auf rufs, bar and bat mitzvah, weddings, funerals; social activities; Jewish study, children and family programming, choir/musical presentations, and membership participation in a variety of committees. While having a full clergy staff, BCC is a member led synagogue.

Any person may join the congregation. There are different levels of membership, contact BCC to learn more. Membership entitles participation in all activities, free classes, partaking in temple governing decisions, and eligibility to serve as an officer of the Board of Directors, a committee chair or a committee member. Visit the website for the latest information and a calendar of events; visitors are welcome to attend any Shabbat Eve services. . FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Members pay yearly fixed dues to support the temple. Limited low income family scholarships available.
