Provider: SU CASA - ENDING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

The agency provides volunteer opportunities for adults age 18 and older who live in the Los Angeles County area. Services include domestic violence volunteer opportunities, child care volunteer opportunities, board/committee member volunteer opportunities, and fund raising event volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Domestic violence volunteer opportunities can include transportation for families, court accompaniment, handy work, and sorting of donation.

Volunteers who work directly with victims/survivors are required to attend a State mandated 40 hour training for domestic violence counseling and advocacy. Background checks are done on all volunteers and they are required to sign a confidentiality statement.

The agency requests that all volunteers commit to at least one year of service. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Volunteers are not required to speak any language other than English, however, the agency seeks volunteers with bilingual English/Spanish capabilities.
