The program provides health services for people of all ages in Los Angeles. Services include breast examinations, child health and disability prevention exams (CHDP), childhood immunizations, community clinics, contraception, contract clinics, dental care, health education, mobile health care, obstetrics/gynecology, optometry, pap tests, premarital blood tests, prenatal care, radiology, sexually transmitted disease screening, and tuberculosis screening. The health center primarily serves people who live in Glassell Park, Highland Park, El Sereno, Lincoln Heights, Montecito Heights and the Mt. Washington areas, and serves people from other areas of Los Angeles and Pasadena, however, there are no geographic restrictions.

The clinic also provides adult and pediatric care; family planning; family practice medicine; podiatry; dermatology; internal medicine; social services counseling; health education regarding family planning, hypertension and diabetes; and Tuberculosis (Tb) screening and preventive care. A mobile health care unit is available in some neighborhoods.

Contract clinic services include outpatient health services for uninsured, low-income Los Angeles County residents of all ages, including General Relief recipients. It provides primary general medical care. Applicant's household income must be at or below 134% of federal poverty guidelines, or who are GR recipients.

CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams.

The clinic provides a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) for women who are eligible for Medi-Cal. The program provides nutrition and health education, psychosocial services and basic prenatal and obstetrical care.

Dental services include examinations, consultation, cleaning, x-rays, extractions and root canals for children and adults. Dental Services are currently ON HOLD. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are on a sliding scale starting at $20 and based on the patients ability to pay; the center accepts private health insurance, Visa, Mastercard, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Health Families and CHDP. Eligible contract clinic clients pay no fees.
