The agency provides services for people with disabilities. Services includes the Joseph B. O'Neal Jr. Stroke Center which provides stroke rehabilitation maintenance program for people age 18 and older. There are no geographic restrictions.

The stroke rehabilitation maintenance program includes an exercise group; physical therapy services; speech therapy; support groups for stroke victims and for caretakers of stroke patients; a speakers program on stroke-related issues, recreational activities and water therapy. The program provides transportation for Carson residents; participants who live in other areas are served by Access Services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. Applicants must have a letter from their physician to authorize their participation. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees to join the program; some activities charge a small fee. There are fixed fees for non-residents of Carson.
