Child Health and Disability Prevention Exams

The agency provides health services for low-income people of all ages in Los Angeles County. Services include child health and disability prevention exams, childhood immunizations, family and community medicine, general physical examinations, pediatrics and primary care. There are no geographic restrictions.

The agency provides CHDP exams for youth age 19 and under.

CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services; Medi-Cal is accepted and several HMOs including Los Angeles Medical Center IPA, HealthNet, Molina are accepted.
