Clothing ( At Risk Families )

Provider: ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF COVINA VALLEY

The program provides personal goods for families in crisis, school children and for victims of sexual assault through three programs. Services include clothing, school clothing and shoes. Geographic restrictions may apply to some services.

The Operation School Bell program provides school clothing, shoes, hygiene kits, and school supplies for school-age children, grades K through 5, who attend schools in the West Covina, Covina Valley, Azusa and Charter Oak School Districts. Most children are referred by school personnel.

The Assault Survivor Kits (ASK) program provides clothing and hygiene items to the victims of rape and assault and is distributed through Project Sister, a non-profit agency located in Pomona. See the separate entry.

Assistance League Community Services program, in partnership with several local non-profit agencies, provides quality used articles of clothing from the Thrift Shop for families in crisis. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for an appointment for the ASK or the Assistance League Community Services program. Operation School Bell may FAX or mail a clothing request form which is provided by the school nurse or school administrator. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
