This is the public health department for the city of Long Beach. Public health services include bedbug control, bee control, communicable disease control, environmental health services, hazardous spill investigation and clean-up, mosquito control, pest information, rat control, restaurant/food sanitation services, and vector control. Geographic, income or other restrictions apply for some services.
Environmental/public health services include vector control, the investigation and clean-up of hazardous waste spills and the inspection/citation of establishments within city limits such as restaurants, hospitals, hotels and apartment buildings. A mobile clinic provides treatment and control of sexually transmitted diseases. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for clinic schedules, appointments and information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees. Medi-Cal, Medicare, and private insurance are accepted.
