Comprehensive Outpatient Drug Use Disorder Treatment ( Gay Men, Amphetamine Use Disorder )

The center provides substance use disorder services for adult gay and bisexual men and transgender women who are methamphetamine users in Los Angeles County. Services include comprehensive outpatient drug use disorder treatment and HIV/AIDS prevention counseling. There are no geographic restrictions.

Friends Getting Off provides an 8 week, gay-specific cognitive behavioral therapy intervention. The program includes HIV testing and information; and referral to HIV treatment, housing and other services. The program also uses contingency management, a behavioral intervention that provides vouchers redeemable for good or services in exchange for urine samples that methamphetamine free.

Guys Understanding Your Situation (GUYS) provides HIV/AIDS prevention services for gay men and non-gay identified men who have sex with men, women, and transgender women. One-on-one services are provided to motivate ongoing HIV risk reduction. Program participants may contribute art, poetry and prose to the agency's street-based magazine. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply; an intake appointment is required. Applicants are given a short phone interview and asked to complete an application that includes a brief life history. All participant information is kept confidential. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There is no fees for service.
