The agency provides health services primarily for low-income South Los Angeles area residents, including people who are undocumented. Services include adolescent/adult immunizations, Child Health and Disability Prevention examinations, community and contract clinic services, flu shot services, general medical care for uninsured and general relief recipients under the contract clinic program, general physical examinations, pregnancy testing services, sexually transmitted disease screening services and tuberculosis screening services. There are no geographic restrictions.

Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) examinations provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams.

General mental health assessment and counseling services may be available for current health center patients. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Appointment required; call or walk-in to schedule an appointment. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Services are either free or on a sliding scale. Eligible contract clinic patients pay no fees.
