The department provides law enforcement services for the city of South Pasadena. Services include abandoned vehicle reporting/removal, crime prevention, crime victim support, emergency protective orders, juvenile delinquency prevention, law enforcement complaints, municipal police, neighborhood watch programs, police reports and temporary restraining orders services. The service area is restricted to the city of South Pasadena.

Temporary restraining order assistance is provided on a short term (72 hrs.), emergency basis only. Regular TROs must be applied for at a Superior Court location.

The department provides a variety of crime prevention programs which include neighborhood watch, presentations at senior centers and individual advice for seniors who come into the station. The department also offers juvenile delinquency prevention services in the form of lectures at the middle school. They will assist victims of crime in completion of forms necessary for requesting compensation. APPLICATION PROCEDURE In an emergency, call 9-1-1. Call or walk in for non-emergency services or for information such as police reports. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for most services; fees are charged for some administrative police and records services.
