Discount Transit Passes

Provider: CITY OF SOUTH EL MONTE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT - SOUTH EL MONTE SENIOR CENTER

The agency provides transportation for adults 60 years and older and disabled individuals who live in South El Monte. Services include disability related transportation and senior ride programs. Geographic restrictions apply.

Transportation may be used for medical appointments, rehabilitation, vocational programs, business and banking. Services are offered for a 15 mile radius. A lift-van is provided to drive individuals to appointments.

Discount transit passes are in the form of Metro TAP cards and are available for seniors, individuals with disabilities and for college/vocational students. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information or to apply. Individuals must register with the Senior Center to be eligible for services. Proof of residency and a doctor's letter of verification is required to register.

Apply for or load TAP cards at the Cashier's Window in City Hall at 1415 Santa Anita Ave.

Call to schedule a ride, 24 hours advance notice is required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services. Fees for discount Metro TAP cards are as follows: Senior/Disabled $20
