The clinic provides health services for people of all ages without health insurance and who live, primarily, in the Harbor area. There are no geographic restrictions.

The health care services include general medical care for minor illnesses; diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and education related to sexually transmitted diseases; family planning services which include gynecological exams, birth control counseling and supplies for women and men, pregnancy tests and related OB referrals. A pediatric medical clinic provides sick and well child care for children age 0 to 17. Services include school and sports physical exams, CHDP exams, medical services and immunizations.

CHDP provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level. The check-ups are offered at set intervals and may include the required Head Start or State Preschool and pre-first grade exams.

Contract clinic services include outpatient health services for uninsured, low-income Los Angeles County residents of all ages, including General Relief recipients. It provides primary general medical care. Applicant's household income must be at or below 134% of federal poverty guidelines, or who are GR recipients.

The clinic also offers health and family life education presentations for schools and community groups. Health educators present information on a range of topics including parent-child communication; self-esteem; human sexuality, values, and decision-making; birth control methods; and sexually transmitted diseases. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or to schedule an appointment for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees vary; Medi-Cal and managed care plans are accepted. Eligible contract clinic patients pay no fees.
