Domestic Violence Hotlines

Provider: JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE OF LOS ANGELES - HOPE

The program provides domestic violence services for people of all ages in Los Angeles County. Services include spousal abuse counseling, domestic violence hotline and supportive services for victims of domestic violence and their children. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program provides individual and group counseling for victims of domestic violence and their children. Supportive services include support groups for older victims of domestic violence, Spanish speaking groups and teen support groups. Triple P parenting is offered as well as social services, court accompaniment and legal advocacy. Referrals and community resources are also available.

The community education component of the project provides speakers for community groups as well as a prevention program for adolescents. Speakers are available who can provide information about the project and about domestic violence in general.

The hotline provides crisis intervention for victims of domestic violence. It also provides intake for the agency's shelter programs and the program's counseling as well as offering specialized information and referral and community resources. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for service, information or for an appointment. Walk-ins, without appointments, are accepted when counselors are available. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
