Domestic Violence Shelters ( Single Women, South Asian Community, Muslim Community )

The agency provides shelter for battered women and women with children who live in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and the Inland Empire. Services are targeted, but not restricted to low income Muslim community of South Asian, Afghan and Middle Eastern immigrant women. The shelter accepts women with female and male children up to age 18. Services include domestic violence shelters. There are no geographic restrictions.

The maximum length of stay is 30 days. The shelter can accommodate a total of 2 women with 3 to 4 children. Meals are included. Support services include case management; individual counseling to victims and their children; marriage counseling; advocacy for needed services; TRO assistance and court accompaniment; life skills; referrals to legal services, immigration services and family law; and referrals to other community services. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call the helpline to apply. An appointment is required. ID, passport; proof of residence in form of green card or passport; proof of income in form of cash assistance documentation or tax return; proof of age in form of ID or birth certificate; and proof of immigration status if needed is required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
