Farmers Markets

Farmers Markets

The program provides farmers markets services for consumers and farmers in the Greater Long Beach area. There are currently six markets associated with this agency. There are no geographic restrictions.

The farmers markets provide farm-fresh produce directly to the consumer, often at substantial savings. Products typically marketed are fresh fruits and vegetables; eggs, nuts, honey, cut flowers, plants, hot food and fresh fish. Arts and crafts are offered on Fridays and Sundays. Producers at the markets regularly donate to charities which feed homeless and low-income people.

Harbor Area Farmers' Markets include six sites:
Cerritos Farmers' Market (Saturdays)
Long Beach Downtown Farmers' Market (Fridays)
Huntington Park Farmers' Market (Wednesdays)
Long Beach Southeast Farmers' Market (Sundays)
Long Beach Uptown Farmers' Market (Thursdays)
South Gate Farmers' Market (Mondays) APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call, walk in or visit the website for service at FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Growers pay 5% of their gross sales to participate. Consumers can pay for produce with cash, EBT CalFresh cards or farmers market nutrition program coupons.
