Farmers Markets
Provider: SOUTH COAST INTERFAITH COUNCIL
The program provides farmers markets services for consumers and farmers in the Greater Long Beach area. There are currently six markets associated with this agency. There are no geographic restrictions.
The farmers markets provide farm-fresh produce directly to the consumer, often at substantial savings. Products typically marketed are fresh fruits and vegetables; eggs, nuts, honey, cut flowers, plants, hot food and fresh fish. Arts and crafts are offered on Fridays and Sundays. Producers at the markets regularly donate to charities which feed homeless and low-income people.
