First Offender DUI Programs
Provider: SHIELDS FOR FAMILIES INC - SHIELDS PLACE OF FAMILY
The agency provides substance use disorder services for adults age 18 and older in Los Angeles County. Services include first offender DUI programs and multiple offender DUI programs. There are no geographic restrictions.
The drinking driver (DUI) programs consist of education and treatment which includes individual and group counseling and attendance at AA meetings for people age 18 and older.
Services address all eight DUI citations that satisfy the Court, DMV, Parole and Probation including PC 1000 Program Deferred Entry of Judgment which expunges the original charge of drug offenders who successfully complete applicable classes and remain arrest free.
Referrals are accepted from the Los Angeles Superior and Municipal Courts, Juvenile Dependency Court, the Los Angeles County Probation Department, the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), the California Department of Corrections and out of state entities. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Walk in for information or to apply for service. A written referral is required for the drinking driver program. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees for services, that vary by program length; one-time enrollment fees also apply. There are discounted fees for GR recipients. Call for details.
