Formula/Baby Food
Provider: ST. ELISABETH CATHOLIC CHURCH - SERVICE CENTER DISTRIBUTION SITE
The program provides emergency food for low-income residents of Van Nuys. Services include administrative entities, formula/baby food and ongoing emergency food assistance. Service area boundries are Raymer on the north, Chandler on the south, Woodman on the east, and Haskell on the west. People who receive government assistance are also eligible for services. Services are restricted to Van Nuys residents that live within the service boundaries.
People within the service area may receive assistance once per month; people who are homeless and who are undocumented may receive assistance on a one-time only basis.
The program provides bags of groceries which contain canned food, packaged dried goods, rice, beans and bread. Baby food and infant formula are usually available. The amount of food varies with family size but is enough to last approximately two days. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Walk in for service. ID for the head of household and proof of residence are required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCES There are no fees for services.
