Emergency food includes a six day supply of canned and packaged food, bread, produce, meat and dairy. Kosher, vegetarian, low salt and low sugar foods are available for those who request them. Formula and baby food are sometimes available. Participants can receive assistance once per month.
Once people register and are in the SOVA food program they can receive the secondary services which can include case management, counseling, financial assistance, information and referral to additional social services and legal services. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Farsi, Hebrew, Russian and Spanish are spoken at the pantries based on availability; Spanish is spoken at the administrative office. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Walk in to apply; first time applicants should arrive half an hour before the pantry opens to register for the SOVA program. Bring an official picture ID for all adult family members; birth certificates are required for children. Proof of residence also required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
