Provider: SAN GABRIEL VALLEY CONSERVATION CORPS

The agency provides youth services, age 16 to 25, in the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles County. Services include gang programs, life skills education, vocational education, and youth development. There are no geographic restrictions.

The Youthbuild Charter School provides an alternative to traditional school environments for youth ages 16 to 24 who have dropped out, aged out or failed the traditional school system. The school provides education that is relevant to their goals, talents and daily lives. The school provides small classes, on-site counseling, one-on-one assistance and group projects/assignments.

The Corps also works with at-risk, low-income, unemployed youth ages 16 to 25 who have criminal records and had dropped out of high school. This program is an intensive 10 month education and job training Youthbuild program.

The Youth Build Construction program provides vocational education that trains youth in construction skills along with GED instruction so a high school diploma can be obtained.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in for information. Age and income restrictions may apply; call for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
