Information about COVID-19 Testing

The City of Los Angeles, in partnership with the County of Los Angeles and CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), is providing free COVID-19 testing to ALL Los Angeles County residents, whether or not you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.

Priority for testing is still given to people with symptoms, such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

Testing is also prioritized for certain critical front-line workers who interact with the public while working. Click the Testing for Front Line Workers button for more details.

Testing is by appointment only.

Individuals without internet access can call Optumserve at (888) 634-1123 to schedule a testing appointment.

For individuals who prefer not to visit a drive-through test center, there are a limited number of tests available at a walk-in clinic.

FRONT LINE WORKERS
Testing is prioritized for certain critical frontline workers including first responders, critical government workers, health care professionals, and grocery workers with or without symptoms. How and when will I receive my results?
Test results may take up to five days to get back.

Select sites partnered with Healthvana will deliver all results via text or email and offer an electronic copy of results which can be printed. See link below for a list of Healthvana partnered sites.

If you do not have internet access 211 LA can complete an online form on behalf of the caller and request LA County send their results. LA County will follow up directly with the caller.
