Higher Education Bridge Programs ( Veterans )


The agency provides services for veterans in Los Angeles County. Services include higher education bridge programs. There are no geographic restrictions.

Veterans Upward Bound is a program of the TELACU Education Foundation. The program prepares veterans to be able to take college level courses with preparatory courses in English, mathematics computer science, typing, Spanish and science. Some courses are classroom based and some are computer based and self-paced.

Secondary services include academic counseling, college advisement, college and financial aid application assistance, GI Bill/Work Study information and parking and bus fare. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply. Veterans must be low-income or first-generation college bound, have a discharge status other than dishonorable and must have completed a minimum of 180 days of active service; Reservists must have completed a minimum of 30 days of active service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
