Hospice Care Referrals

The organization provides end-of-life services for terminally ill people and their families and support for professionals, nationwide. Services include hospice care referrals, public awareness/education, professional continuing education, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.
Specialized information and referral provides contact information on hospice or end-of-life organizations; pamphlets and brochures on care giving, grief and loss; and state specific advance directives.
Public awareness is provided for consumers through the Caring Connections website. Caring Connections has information and resources for people to make decisions about end-of-life care and issues.
The national organization, National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, advocates for the terminally ill and their families; convenes meetings and symposia on emerging issues; conducts research; monitors Congressional and regulatory activities; and works with organizations that share an interest in end-of-life care.
The National Organization also provides professional continuing education and educational programs, materials and conferences; and technical informational resources to its membership. For professional or technical services on end-of-life issues visit the NHPCO website for information. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for information or referrals; membership fees vary.
