Provider: CORONAVIRUS GENERAL INFORMATION AND FAQ - GENERAL INFORMATION AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Vaccine Safety
The safety of the COVID-19 vaccine is a top priority. Approved vaccines have been shown to be safe and very effective in large studies that involved a diverse mix of people. While the vaccine stops people from getting sick, however, it is not yet clear if it stops them from spreading COVID-19 to other people. After you've been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you should keep taking precautions in public places like wearing a mask, staying 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. See CDC guidance at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html

Visit VaccinateLACounty.com for additional vaccine information, including specifics about Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson / Janssen.

Johnson & Johnson Vaccine: After a thorough safety review by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), they determined that the pause in the use of the Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine can be lifted and that use of the vaccine should resume. Additional information is available at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/JJUpdate.html
