Independent Living Skills Instruction ( Developmental Disabilities )
Provider: INSTITUTE FOR APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS
The institute provides services for people with developmental disabilities living in Los Angeles County. Services include adult mentoring programs, independent living skills instruction and vocational rehabilitation. There are no geographic restrictions.
The mentoring program pairs mentors with clients for companionship activities, such as seeing a movie or shopping. Independent living instruction helps clients with skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting. Employment services place them in jobs in their local community.
Clients must be enrolled in either the employment or independent living program before they can be eligible for the mentoring program. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. An appointment is required. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Clients pay no fees. The fees are paid by the client's Regional Center. Private pay is also accepted.
