Infant Care Centers
The preschool programs are offered mornings and afternoons, and have a structured, educational focus to provide children with learning skills and motivation. Children must be toilet trained for acceptance in the program.
Infant and toddler day care are provided for full-days or part-days. Age appropriate activities are used to maximize the cognitive, social, emotional, physical, creative, and language development of each child.
A special program called Ready, Set, Grow provides behavioral interventions to promote healthy social and emotional development for children age five and younger. Staff conduct developmental assessments, provide play therapy as needed, and provide consultations and education for parents.
The Zenith Latchkey Literacy program provides before and after school programs for children from Kindergarten through Third Grade. The program provides family literacy programs, homework assistance and tutoring services at Trinity and Avalon Gardens Elementary Schools. An additional afterschool program is available for children age nine through 13.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk-in for information. Applicants need a proof of residence and employment to be considered for the program. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are on a sliding scale which begins at $0. There are no fees for the latchkey program and for the student infant/toddler care center at Y.O.U. Alternative High School.
