The agency provides consumer services to individuals throughout the United States. Services include consumer action groups, consumer fraud reporting, internet crime reporting and internet fraud reporting. There are no geographic restrictions.

Consumer action group services include training materials, workshops and focus groups that provide the consumers perspective on concerns including child labor, privacy on the Internet, food safety, and medication information. The agency also manages four consumer based coalitions and publishes three consumer based newsletters, two of which are available via email only.

Consumer and internet fraud reporting services include a toll-free hotline which offers support to victims of telemarketing and Internet fraud. The agency provides information on fraud to law enforcement agencies.

Internet crime reporting services include monitoring cyberspace through Internet Fraud Watch. Internet Fraud Watch helps consumers distinguish between legitimate and fraudulent promotions in cyberspace and routes reports of suspected fraud to the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
