The center provides legal services primarily for people who live in Los Angeles county; primarily in the under-served communities. Services include conflict resolution training, landlord/tenant dispute resolution, and mediation services. The agency does not provide legal counseling or representation. There are no geographic or income requirements.

The center provides in-person mediation and telephone conciliation for disputes between or among businesses and customers, couples, family members, employees and/or employers, friends, landlords and tenants, neighbors or other parties. It handles a wide variety of cases, including apartment conditions, child visitation and support, evictions, divorce, family disputes, merchandise, and noise and parking complaints.

The center trains people in conflict resolution skills. It offers two types of training which focus on resolving conflicts with one person or with two or more persons. The center hosts training workshops at its location and other community sites. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or apply online. Walk-ins may be accommodated. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are set on a sliding scale, however, no one is turned away due to inability to pay.
