Literacy Volunteer Opportunities

The project provides adult education services for adults age 18 and older. Services include adult literacy programs, citizenship education, literacy volunteer opportunities, and tutorial services. There are no geographic restrictions.

The project recruits and trains adult volunteer tutors to teach the Laubach Literacy Method of literacy on a one-to-one basis. Pupils and tutors are asked to make a six-month commitment to meet twice weekly at a mutually convenient branch library and time. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
