The agency provides mental health services for youth ages 17 and younger who live in the San Fernando Valley area. Services include clinical psychiatric evaluation, crisis intervention, individual counseling, mental health evaluations, outpatient mental health facilities, psychiatric case management, and psychiatric medication monitoring, and specialized information and referral. Staff provide assessment and referrals for additional services if necessary. Age restrictions apply; services are restricted to residents of the San Fernando Valley.

The program is a specialized unit that serves seriously emotionally disturbed youth who are in acute crisis. The program seeks to assess and stabilize the youth, hospitalize and provide brief treatment, and then link them with ongoing outpatient mental health services.

Secondary services include family counseling.

The agency also provides consultation services and mental health referrals. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply for service; the agency does not accept walk in clients. After hours calls are routed to the centralized County Department of Mental Health Access Program. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are fixed fees. Medi-Cal, Healthy Families and Healthy Kids are accepted. Sliding scale for uninsured. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
