Occasional Emergency Food Assistance
Provider: SOUTH ANTELOPE VALLEY EMERGENCY SERVICES
The program provides emergency food to people in Acton, Green Valley, Lake Elizabeth, Lake Hughes, Lake Los Angeles, Leona Valley, Littlerock, Llano, Palmdale and Pearblossom. Services include occasional emergency food assistance. Geographic restrictions apply.
The agency provides bags of groceries which contain staples that may include cereal, canned goods and peanut butter; meat and dairy products may be available depending on donations. The amount of groceries varies with family size but is enough to last approximately one week. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. ID is required for all adults in the household; medical cards or birth certificates are required for all minors. Proof of residence is also required (gas or electric bill; or lease agreement only). FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
