Ongoing Emergency Food Assistance

The program provides emergency food for low-income people who live in Azusa, including people who are undocumented, who are homeless, or who receive government assistance. The program provides bags of groceries which include canned food, packaged dried food, bread, fruits and vegetables. The amount of food does vary with family size but is enough to last approximately three days. Baby food and infant formula are occasionally available. People are eligible for assistance once every 30 days. Services are restricted to Azusa residents. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Walk in to apply for service. Service is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. CADL or CAID and utility bill, both with current address; proof of income such as a pay stub; birth certificates for children age 12 and younger are required for service. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services.
