The program provides emergency food for low-income people who live in Los Angeles County, including veterans. Service includes ongoing emergency food. The program provides 200 pounds of food, which includes canned goods, frozen meat, beans, rice, pasta, bread, cereal, milk, fruits and vegetables. The amount of food does not vary according to family size. People may apply for assistance once per week. There are no geographic restrictions. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Walk in to apply for emergency food. Veterans must show proof of military service, such as a military ID or discharge papers, to receive discounted fee rates. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE The fee is $35 per visit. For veterans the fee is $30 per visit.
