Prejob Guidance ( Adolescents, At Risk Youth )

The agency provides youth services for low-income, at risk children, adolescents and young adults, age 5 through 30 who live in the City of Los Angeles. Services include alternative education, computer and related technology classes, emancipation of minors for former foster children age 17 through 25, gang programs, family support centers/outreach, GED instruction, job search/ placement, pre-job guidance, work experience and youth development. The geographic area served by this agency is the City of Los Angeles. There are age, income and geographic restrictions.

The program combines education and employment services, and interfaces with the City WIOA Youth Employment program. Work-based activities provide pre-apprenticeship in the construction trades. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call to apply. Youth may be referred by their school. Individuals must be a City of Los Angeles resident, DWP customer or served by the Los Angeles Police Department. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for service.
