Rooming/Boarding Houses ( General Relief Recipients, Single Men )

The program provides shelter for men and women 19 years and older, including ex-offenders, couples with no children, General Relief and SSI recipients and members of the LGBTQ community. Services include three room and board facilities. This is not a shelter. The 51st St. and Figueroa St. site accommodates men only. The program cannot accommodate people who are undocumented. The length of stay is determined on an individual basis. There are no geographic restrictions.

The facility is a sober living friendly facility but it is NOT a sober living home. Residents live in shared rooms. Three meals a day, bedding, linen, lockers, internet and laundry facilities are provided. Residents must obey house rules and curfew and participate in chores.

Secondary services include information and referral to other services and benefits advocacy. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or walk in to apply. Picture ID such as CAID, CADL or green card, proof of income are required. Applicants who do not have a social security card, but are required to apply for one immediately. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Fees are $550 per month; however, the agency will accept lower fees from General Relief recipients. General Relief payments are made directly to the agency.

Intake hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm; Saturday 8:00am to 12:00pm. The program operates Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day.
