Runaway/Homeless Youth Helplines ( Hearing Loss )

The program provides runaway services for youth 18 to 24 years of age in Los Angeles County, including LGBTQ youth and those who are HIV positive. Services include a youth hotline, case management, contract clinic services, crisis intervention counseling, employment skills program, intake for shelter, specialized information and referral, services for the deaf and hard of hearing and some substance abuse counseling. People who are pregnant, younger than 18 or older than 21 years will be referred to other organizations for assistance. There are no geographic restrictions.

Contract clinic services include outpatient health services for uninsured, low-income Los Angeles County residents of all ages, including General Relief recipients. It provides primary general medical care. Applicant's household income must be at or below 134% of federal poverty guidelines, or who are GR recipients. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for service. Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day; the TDD line operates Monday through Sunday, 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Outreach line is available Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
