Student Disability Services

The university provides post-secondary education. Services include academic programs leading to baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate degrees. The university also provides disabled student services; distance education opportunities, including online courses; an educational opportunity program (see the separate entry) for economically disadvantaged students; extension services; professional continuing education and Life Long Learning programs for older adults. There are no geographic restrictions.

The college provides a transition program for incoming freshman that provides incoming students an overview of campus life and the assistance they need to successfully complete the transition to college.

Disabled Student Services include accommodated test taking, notetakers, readers and research assistants. A DSS department conducts interviews and assessments for program services.

The university offers Extended Studies or Extended Education programs for older adults, including the Osher Life Long Learning Institute for older adults, age 50 and over. Courses are available online and at the university in a variety of fields. The older adult programs also provide speakers and other cultural events for seniors.
