Transitional Housing/Shelter ( Homeless Veterans )

The agency provides shelter services to veterans in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Services include transitional shelter/housing. There are no geographic restrictions.

Transitional shelter services are available for unemployed veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The services function as a residential welfare to work program with four areas of focus: employment; sobriety maintenance, relapse prevention, and securing stability in the home and work place. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Appointments are preferred. Walk in, telephone or write to apply for services; walk in to receive service.

Individuals must be veterans in good standing, be eligible for Veterans Administration (VA) services, and must supply a DD214 (positive discharge from the US Military).

Individuals must also have a minimum 60 days sobriety if entering from a treatment facility, or 90 days sobriety if entering from the community. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for services. Clients pay rent after they have an income.

Intake hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Shelter hours are Monday through Sunday, 24 hours per day.
