The center provides employment services and support services for adults who have disadvantages or face special difficulties in preparing for a career, including students who are displaced, homemakers who lack job skills, GAIN/CalWORKS participants, re-entering adults, and non-traditional vocation majors. Services include career counseling, individual counseling, prejob guidance and vocational assessment. There are no geographic restrictions.

The services include individual counseling to reduce anxiety and stress and to ease the student's transition into the college environment, seminars, workshops, and personal appraisals. Staff can also provide career information and skills assessment, and can assist students with assertion training, resume writing, job interviewing skills, and job search.

The Extended Opportunity Program (EOPS) provides services for financially and economically disadvantaged students. The program assists student to apply for financial aid, provides counseling, referrals to training and employment programs and other support services.

The program also provides services for CalWORKS eligible TANF recipients. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call for information or to schedule an appointment for center services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE There are no fees for center services.
