Appointments to sign up for WIC or renew benefits can be completed from home (by video or phone), or in person at the WIC office. Please call Monday through Friday, between 9:00am and 5:00pm. This is a supplemental nutrition program that provides food benefits and nutrition education for pregnant women, new and/or breastfeeding mothers, infants, and children younger than age five who live in California. Eligible applicants must meet federal low-income guidelines and have been determined to be at nutritional risk by a health professional. When funding is decreased, services are offered based on priority, contact office for eligibility determination.

The program provides an electronic card that is redeemed at authorized stores for specified foods such as fruit, vegetables, milk, (Cow's milk, lactose-free milk, and soy milk available), eggs, beans, peanut butter, whole grains (tortillas, pasta, oatmeal, bread, brown rice, cereals, barley and bulgur), breakfast cereal, yogurt, cheese, 100% juice, tofu, canned fish, baby food, infant cereal, and infant formula. The WIC food package will vary based on participant age and other factors. Food benefits are issued monthly and must be used within 30 days.

Participants of the WIC program also receive regular nutrition education and one-on-one counseling with WIC counselors who can make individualized referrals and screenings for immunization, Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and more.
Lactation assistance, breastfeeding support groups, and access to free electric breast pumps are available. LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH Spanish, Arabic, Armenian, Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Russian. Services in American Sign Language and other languages are offered via a medical translation service.
