This is the local division of a national, non-sectarian grassroots volunteer organization whose aim is to help women develop their individual and collective potential through education, social action, and community service. Services include women's advocacy programs, legislative advocacy, and meeting space. There are no geographic restrictions.

The organization offers educational and social action programs focused on issues that impact women, children and families. Community services include lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and task forces.

The organization also provides meeting space for other women's and community groups to rent. APPLICATION PROCEDURE Call or visit the organization's website at www.ncjwla.org for information or to apply for services. FEES/PAYMENT SOURCE Membership fees are $60 per year; membership fees for seniors and students are $35 per year. Many services are free; however, there is a sliding scale for therapy services and fixed fees for meeting space rental.
