Workforce Development Boards
The agency provided administrative services for employers and businesses and Workforce Development programs through its AJCCs for unemployed or underemployed individuals in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County and areas not covered by other Workforce Development Boards. Services include administrative entities and workforce development boards. There are no restrictions for America's Job Centers of California services.
The Workforce Development Board (WDB) operates on behalf of the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors to carry out functions mandated by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014 section 107-d and the state law California Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (AB 1270) section 25. The WDB provides policy and oversight to the local Workforce Development Area and creates strategies for job seekers and businesses in Los Angeles County.
