The Winter Shelter Program runs from December 1, 2016 through March 1, 2017.
Winter Shelters provide an emergency place for single adults to stay for warmth and safety. Shelters provide a cot and a blanket for sleeping purposes. Bathing facilities are provided (the type of facility depends on the specific shelter). A hot meal is provided for dinner and a morning meal or sack breakfast are provided in the morning prior to departure time. Case management and assessment for more permanent housing solutions are also available.
Individuals need to leave the shelter at departure time (varies by shelter). If transportation was provided to the shelter, return transportation will be provided to the same pick up location.
Each shelter has specific rules about line ups or personal items allowed. Guests of the shelter should follow the posted rules.
